| In 1906 Mylius Erichsen wrote in his plan for the Denmark Expedition to Northeast Greenland 1906-08: ”If Pearys assumption that Cape Bridgeman i situated on an island – Peary Land – is correct, the the norterne boundrary of the Greenland continent has not been established...An expedition to northeast Greenland must therefore have as one of its most important objects the investigation of wether or not the Peary Channnel exists...And it should be from Denmark that such an expedition is dispatched.” |
