Under the large, lower case heading “historia de los corregidores deste rreyno” on the lefthand page, Guaman Poma elaborates his view of the social hierarchy of Spanish colonial society, deliberately misordering the sequence of certain chapters that begin on pages 534, 703, and 909. His placement of the numbers 466, 468, 470, 534, and 712 reveal that he entered all page numbers after the prose text was completed (actual pages 1185-1186)..
