26. Guide to Tibetan language. 1737.
The work is a guide to Tibetan language with Mongolian and Tibetan parallel texts. It is an important bilingual work. After the Mongolians had converted to Tibetan Buddhism, the desire arose to read the magic Lamaistic text in the original language. An introduction to the Tibetan language was therefore important.
The guide is in oblong format and made with block print on oblong paper sheets. It comes from Beijing where it was acquired some time in the 1920s.
