Johanne Luise Heiberg (1812-90) | Forfatterskabets Første Fase
The First Writing Phase |
| The divine proletarian child, who at the age of 13 became the object of Johan Ludvig Heiberg's courting and love, was the uncontested prima donna of the age. She was admired, worshipped and fallen in love with by all, some so violently that the result was deep depression or suicide in the tragic style of the day. Kierkegaard, who here understood how to temper his passion, followed her from the darkness of the theater. When she re-appeared in the role of Shakespeare's Juliet at the age of 34, he wrote The Crisis and a Crisis in the Life of an Actress, which appeared as a series in the newspaper Fædrelandet under the pseudonym Inter et Inter. |
