J. F. Giødwad (1811-91) 2. Forfatterskabets Første Fase
The First Writing Phase

J.F. Giødwad In a note from 1850 Kierkegaard wrote: "I personally call Giødwad my friend, and in the last three to four years I have spoken with him every blessed evening.... If he were not a journalist, I would probably have found in him the person to whom I could have turned in a true friendship. But Giødwad was and remained a journalist, and even one with definite liberal sympathies. He was the responsible editor of Kjøbenhavnsposten from 1837-39 and from 1840-77 employed at Fædreland as a sub-editor, editor and finally as the newspaper's "grey eminence." Kierkegaard used him as his "Correcteur" and as his go-between when the pseudonymous works were sent to press.
