38. Georg Brandes' photo album

The album belonged to the critic and author Georg Brandes and provides an insight into the people who meant so much to him that he included portraits of them in his private album. It contains 150 photographic portraits of Georg Brandes, his family and circle of friends.

The cover is beautifully decorated with inlaid mother of pearl and will after conservation represent a fine example of a photo album from the 1800s.
