34. Bournonville ballets
In 2005 we celebrate Hans Christian Andersen - but also the composer I.P.E. Hartmann and the famous ballet master Bournonville. No fewer than nine of Bournonville's ballets will be performed at the great celebration.
The score material for these ballets originates from The Royal Theatre and is an important part of the unique material that the theatre and the library have preserved. The material shows traces of varying performances and traditions, and are consequently fairly damaged. These main works must of course be preserved for posterity for the use of ballet scholars from all over the world.
