12. Astasâhasrikâ. Buddhist sutra in Mongolian. Beginning of the 1800s
Sutra texts consist of philosophical/religious texts, rules of conduct and rules concerning the behaviour of the monks. This work contains a number of discussions between Buddha and his disciples on knowledge and wisdom. The work was acquired for The Royal Library in Beijing in 1922-23 by Dr. Kurt Wulff.
The sutra is written on oblong paper sheets with an illustrated cover plate.
