In her memoirs Out of Africa Karen Blixen (1885-1962) described her life in Africa, where she managed a coffee farm from 1914 to 1931. They were first published in English and then in Danish under the title Den afrikanske Farm (The African Farm), both in 1937. This manuscript shows her work with the English text as well as her translation into Danish written in pencil above the lines.
