This edition of the Bible in Russian Church Slavonic is a revised copy of the so-called Ostroga Bible from 1581, the first printed edition of the Bible in Russian Church Slavonic.
This copy belonged to J.C. Wolfen who was the King’s librarian 1704-1730. The binding is made of red morocco blocked in gold and silver.
