Director and actor Henrik Bentzon’s work copy used in the production of the play by Kaj Munk (1898-1944) in 9 pictures En idealist (An Idealist). Munk was one of the leading Danish playwrights of the twentieth century as well as a poet and a pastor. He was killed by the Nazis on 4 January 1944 during the German occupation of Denmark. The first performance of the play took place at the Danish Royal Theatre on 8 February 1928, and it was revived with the famous Danish actor Poul Reumert as Herod on 25 January 1938.
