Italian Renaissance manuscript containing the two works about the Catiline conspiracy and the war against Jugurtha by the Roman historian Sallust (c. 86-35/34 B.C.). It was made for the Florentine humanist and bookseller Vespasiano da Bisticci (1421-1498). The Danish collector of books and state archivist Frederik Rostgaard (1671-1745) purchased the manuscript in Venice in 1699.
On the front cover the super exlibris of Count Christian Danneskiold-Samsøe is seen. He owned the book for a short period of time and it was then acquired by the Royal Library in 1732 from his estate.
