On the last page of this manuscript, which contains the four Gospels with prefaces by Jerome and a summary of the texts of the ecclesiastical year, some records have been written which show that the book belonged to Munkeliv Monastery in Bergen, Norway. It has no illustrations but the pages of the manuscript are rendered a beautiful and vivid expression by the use of a few alternating colours for the initials.
