Traditional Chinese book box covered by fabric. The inner protection flaps are decorated with a fine cutting in the shape of the symbol of long life – a ruyi (a mushroom that, if eaten, is supposed to prolong one’s life). The book contains reproductions of murals from a 14th century Daoist temple.
