Arabic manuscript bound in leather with a dotted decoration.
Brown leather binding with geometric patterns of lines and gilded dots. The manuscript contains two religious texts by Abû al-Farağ Ibn al-Ğawzî, who died in 1201. The manuscript is considerably younger, but undated. It was bought in Constantinople in 1761 by F.C. von Haven, who took part in Carsten Niebuhr’s expedition to Arabia 1761-1767.
