This splendid botanical work which lent its name to the famous porcelain dinner service was under production for 122 years. It depicts wild plants in the Kingdom of Denmark – which included Norway until 1814 – but without any explanatory text. Originally it was planned to hold detailed botanical descriptions of every plant and information about its benevolent and/or harmful effects.
